From time to time the use of Hypnosis or Hypnotherapy appears in the media - here are just a few links to what continues to be a growing list...
Daily Mail report 15.04.2014: "A woman who lived on a diet of chips for 15 years has finally eaten a proper meal - after being hynoptised to overcome her debilitating fear of food. Hanna Little, 20, has eaten chips every day since she was five years old - after she developed a fear of all other foods which made her physically sick if she tried to eat them."
Daily Mail report 20.07.2015: "Natasha Semedo, 21, suffers from Selective Eating Disorder SED. She would spend £100 a week on ordering out and junk food snacks. The hairdresser from West Sussex would even eat takeaway for breakfast. After two decades of struggling hypnotherapy has cured her disorder."
Daily Mail report 27.07.2016: "Jodie Brown, 17, had spent years battling with selective eating disorder. She felt embarrassed, had low self-esteem and was picked on at school. She ate lemon curd sandwiches and felt sick if she had something else. But after a visit to a hypnotherapist she has overcome her fear of food."
"Crisp addict: 'Hypnosis helped me packet in'"
Daily Star report 02.09.2014: "A TEENAGER who scoffed 40 packets of crisps a week has finally been cured by hypnosis."
Daily Mail report 26.04.2017: "Millie Thomas, 29, suffered from anorexia for 15 years of her life. She first developed the eating disorder when she was just 12 years old. She started to exercise obsessively despite being malnourished from not eating. Ms Thomas was later told by doctors that she had just two weeks to live. Now recovered, she is helping others who are suffering from eating disorders."

Ellie Phipps, 20, a teaching assistant and gymnastics coach, weighed as little as 5 stone 13lbs while struggling with the eating disorder and was at the point where doctors feared her organs could fail."
"Cured of eating obsessions...by Lily Allen's hypnotherapist"
Daily Mail report 12.03.2011: "Engagements are stressful. Brides are supposed to lose weight, yet I put on 10lb in the first fortnight. Then I bumped into an old friend who had been incredibly fat. Not any more. She'd lost 4st in as many months after visiting a hypnotist who'd undone the link in her brain between eating and stress. I rang the hypnotist the same day."
Mail Online report 29.08.2013: "Jay Taylor, 24, died at home in Walker, Newcastle, on Monday. Her mother Tracey was with her when she died. Facebook tributes have flooded her page from other sufferers of disorders. Jay developed anorexia nervosa when she was 11 years old. She was made an ambassador for Eating Disorder Association aged 18." - Sadly it appears she didn't receive any therapy.
Daily Mail report 11:03:2014: "John Gardener would frequently chew the ends of his fingers, inquest told. Bleeding from his fingers resulted in him suffering a septic infection. He died from a heart attack in hospital, just days after his 40th birthday." He had suffered with anxiety and depression - maybe a good therapist could have cured his nail biting habit and saved his life - sadly, we'll never know...
